IN an act of unbridled betrayal — a married woman was caught peddling the forbidden fruit to a man in her matrimonial home in a steamy morning sexual session that forced her to miss a visit to hospital where her husband is battling two sexually transmitted ailments. The woman, Sarah Makoni (23), was left red-faced and out of her matrimonial home after being caught red-handed in bed with Simon Makoni (not related) just for money.
Simon was allegedly holed at her place since last Wednesday as the two love-birds conspired to take advantage of the fact that the house-owner and woman’s hubby, Aaron Mukanda, was critically ill and admitted at Rusape General Hospital.
The incident occurred at R214 in Vengere, in Rusape on Sunday.
The drama unfolded around 10am. Sarah’s husband was detained at Rusape General Hospital where he was diagonised with tuberculosis and two sexually-transmitted infections.
Mukanda’s condition is reportedly critical such that he cannot do anything by himself.
He was admitted a fortnight ago and Sarah has been conspicuous by her absence during visiting hours, leaving her hubby’s relatives to clean his mess, while she enjoys herself with another man.
The unsuspecting love-birds were through the thick of enjoying themselves when Aaron’s cousin, Godfrey Tivatarire, of R242, stormed the house after a tip-off, threatening to beat up his estranged auntie and labelling her “loose and a disgrace”.
Well, it was all a coincidence because the husband, neighbours and relatives never knew Sarah’s hidden secrets and unGodly acts.
Agitated by her appetite for sex while her known hubby was battling for life in hospital, angry relatives and neighbours invaded the house chanting denigrating songs, and police had to be called in to save the situation from degenerating into a bloodbath.
Simon said he met the lady in September 2014. According to him, she never disclosed her marital status and the two have been seeing and sleeping around since then. As a result, their illicit affair continued blossoming to the extent that Sarah, in January this year, visited Simon’s Chiemdambuya-based parents for official introductions as their soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
“I never knew she was married. I am now realising it now kuti mahwani chaiwo blaz. We met in September and in January I introduced her to my family as we looked forward to marrying each other. She has been frequently visiting my parents so that she familiarises with the family customs and values before marriage.
“She invited me last Wednesday saying her auntie was in hospital. She is my girlfriend and ah mahwani chaiwo,” Simon told The Weekender.
Sarah said there was nothing of substance between her and the critically-ill Aaron.
She said the two have been cohabiting since 2009 during which Aaron failed to pay a “penny towards my bride price”.
She said this prompted her to hunt for “a responsible man” to take care of and eventually marry her.
The couple has one child.
“Kuroorwa kuita sei, handisati ndabvisirwa ini. We were cohabiting since 2009 and along the way I met Simon.
“He is my boyfriend and I love him.
“People can say what they want, but that is it and it is true. I have visited his family and I invited him last Wednesday because I wanted someone around.
“Godfrey has been told that there is a man staying here by one of the neighbours. He then popped up unexpectedly and caught us red-handed.
“I do not know what will happen, but I cannot regret falling for a man capable of taking good care of me,” said Sarah.
Aaron’s relative, Patricia Zivai, said they asked the love-birds to go together.
“We send her packing. We officially surrendered her to her auntie in Tandi Village on Sunday afternoon, and the auntie refused to take her in and instead told Simon to take her with him.
“They have left for Harare together with her child.
“This is the greatest betrayal because as it happened when her true husband is battling for life at Rusape General Hospital. He is suffering from TB, syphilis, and HIV. His condition is bad and as a family we took the decision without briefing him about the latest developments involving his wife.
“We fear it might turn out to be a big nightmare and a big trauma,” said Zivai.
Godfrey said money was becoming the motivating factor for many women today, sorry for any man who can’t carry his woman along and make her change her faulty ideas about money.
“Her actions are disgraceful.
“Her husband has been in hospital for the past week, and she is already inviting another man to her matrimonial bed. She doesn’t care visiting to see how he is doing. The man was holed here since Wednesday to the extent that he was putting on my uncle’s clothes.
“When I picked it through the rumour-mill, I approached her, discussed it, and though she denied, I told her to straighten her ways. We kept her under surveillance, and eventually caught her red-handed,” he said.Manica Post

JANUARY 1, 2015 marked the 36th birthday of Chitungwiza woman Fortunate Nsoro.
Instead of celebrating her birthday and the coming of a new year, Fortunate took an overdose of malaria tablets, intending to end her life.
She was only saved by neighbours who rushed her to hospital. A week later, and still recuperating, she became more daring.
Fortunate tried to drown herself in Manyame River, again only to be saved by an alert cyclist who knocked her down preventing her from plunging into the river.
However, a month later, Fortunate stopped playing the victim and turned villain. On February 26, she allegedly stabbed to death her husband Petros Mutasa with kitchen knives.
Mutasa is survived by five children.
The murder shocked the nation, particularly friends and relatives, who knew Fortunate as a chirpy socialite and a good yesteryear sportsperson.
Growing up in Mufakose, Fortunate was revered as a good discus thrower, while her parents marvelled at her ability to grasp Sunday school verses better than anyone else.
So what could have changed her persona and triggered such animosity within her, which resulted in the death of her husband and plunged the whole neighbourhood into mourning?
Was it a fit of pique?
Fortunate’s younger sister, Matilda opened up about her sister’s woes, alleging that Fortunate’s second marriage was not rosy. Anger, disappointment and mounting pressure to keep her marriage intact against a myriad of problems between the two could have triggered the incident, which resulted in the brutal murder of Mutasa.
“The two had a good relationship. They were married for close to a decade. It was my sister’s second marriage and Mutasa’s fourth. It was late last year when their marital woes worsened after reports of her husband’s infidelity started emerging.
“Beginning of this year, she (Fortunate) phoned me several times, alleging that her husband was in a serious relationship with a woman who worked at a bar at Chikwanha Shopping Centre.
“I advised her not to visit the woman and instead talk to her husband. From that time she appeared troubled, and tried to commit suicide twice. I even spoke to Mutasa about it and he promised to talk to her,” said Matilda.
Matilda added that Fortunate’s growing suicidal tendencies prompted her family to encourage her to go for counselling sessions with priests at her local parish, St Monica (Roman Catholic).
“Throughout the discussions we often had, I kept reminding her of the Christian values that our mother taught us and the importance of the family unit, since we did not grow up in a broken home.
“Having had a failed marriage before, Fortunate tried hard to keep her marriage intact, but it was clear that the pressure was taking a toll on her, hence the attempts to take her life,” revealed Matilda.
Matilda added that although the relationship continued to be tumultuous, Fortunate maintained her suave and chirpy character and was often in a good mood when interacting with friends, colleagues and stepchildren.
“Fortunate is and has always been a good woman, a darling of the family, who also got along well with all her stepchildren,” she said.
Mutasa’s daughter from his first marriage Shylet (31) collaborated Matilda’s assertion, describing her stepmother as a cheerful individual, although she occasionally exhibited bouts of anger.
“I am still in shock. I never expected this. This is the part of her character that I didn’t know or which she never exhibited,” said the distraught Shylet in an interview at the family’s house in Chitungwiza on Wednesday. From the time that she got married to my father, she has always been a friendly person, whom I could turn to for advice whenever I faced problems in my marital and social life.
“Like any other couple, mainini and my dad had their fair share of problems, but they always resolved them amicably. They led a peaceful life,” said Shylet, who lives with her husband, just a stone’s throw away from her parents’ house. Fortunate’s workmates at Michael Gelfand Clinic were equally shocked when news of the alleged murder broke out. One of her workmates, Spiwe Njowa (40) of Hatfield, said during the time she interacted with Fortunate, she was always chatty, happy and never showed any signs of distress.
“It was only on one occasion that she complained about one of her stepsons, but we counselled her, and everything had been normal since that time” she said.
In Fortunate, her mother–in-law, 71-year old Erica Mutasa, saw an embodiment of a true traditional African woman whom she felt had the potential to bring stability into her son’s life, after three failed marriages.
“If they had problems, we did not suspect anything. She was the mother figure of the entire family and even took care of the children from her husband’s first marriage,” said Mbuya Mutasa between tears.
It came as a shock to Mbuya Mutasa when on the eve of February 26, she received a phone call from Fortunate, saying the two had fought at their Chitungwiza home, before she cut off the conversation, abruptly.
Unbeknown to her, her son was lying in a pool of blood, while neighbours and relatives tried to come to terms with the incident.
“Up to now I do not understand what spirits could have possessed her, and made her fight to this extent,” said Mbuya Mutasa.
However, one of Fortunate’s stepson Stallone had a different story to tell.
Twenty two-year-old Stallone said her stepmother had always been a temperamental person and often resorted to violence when solving problems.
“Whenever we had problems, she would often lock me up in the bedroom to punish me. Sometime last year, we argued over a cart that I had rented out to our neighbours who wanted to use it to collect water. I tried to explain that to her, but she wouldn’t listen. In a fit of rage, she picked up a mirror from the bed, threw it at me, cutting my back in the process,” he said.
Domestic violence has been on the increase in Zimbabwe.
Several men and women have in the last few months committed suicide or killed their partners following long standing dispute in relations, unions and marriages.
Police have confirmed an increase in the number of people who are taking their lives after or killing their partners after failing to resolve problems within their unions.

Mathias Mhere speaks out: No final position on cheating wife yet

HARARE – On the evening of Februay 3 around 7pm, Mathias Mhere met what he calls the greatest betrayal of his life.

When he returned from visiting his ailing brother (now late) who was in hospital, the gospel musicians says he found his wife, Susan Dzinamarira, seated in the living room at their Waterfalls house. She was busy typing something on her phone and the two lovers greeted each other as usual.
Mhere did not suspect anything. On several occasions he had seen his wife in that same position, busy with her phone. It was normal.
Because his phone battery was flat, he requested to use her phone to make a call. He wanted to get in touch with a friend who was assisting him to raise money to process visas for his upcoming United States tour.
Mhere says his wife refused to hand over the phone arguing that she had been chatting with her sister on a sensitive topic.
After a serious argument, he took the phone by force and all hell broke loose. He discovered that his wife was cheating with his former band member Gift Mahlupeka.
Since the matter leaked to the media on Thursday last week, Mhere was unwilling to open up.
He became the proverbial sandwich between a rock and a hard surface when his brother died on Sunday morning and he preferred to “leave everything to God”.
It took a two-hour conversation to convince Mhere to pour his heart to The Herald Entertainment on Wednesday afternoon.
“It is not easy to talk about this my brother. You will never understand the feeling when it has not happened to you. I used to read stories about cheating in the press and I never thought I would be in such a situation one day.
“It is only when it happens to you that you can understand how heavy a heart can be. You talk about it with such ease because you are not in such a situation. It is hard. It is painful,” said Mhere.
Grief was the skin of his face as he began to narrate how it happened. He said the Mahlupeka issue started in September last year.
“My wife told me that she had received funny WhatsApp messages from Gift. She showed me the messages. Gift knew I was not around and he asked Susan if she was not lonely. He hinted that he would provide company if she needed someone to entertain her.
“She seemed unhappy with the messages and she blocked Gift’s number from accessing her on WhatsApp. At that time, I had tasked him to assist my manager and he was part of the band. I phoned and warned him to stop seducing my wife. He apologised but I banned him from coming to my house and my shows. I told him to stop being involved with the band.”
Mhere and Mahlupeke became enemies. They did not meet for about six months and they did not communicate. Mhere thought the issue was water under the bridge until February 3, when he discovered the unexpected.
“I arrived home around 7pm and found Susan typing on her phone. I asked for her phone because my battery was flat. I had to call someone in connection with our United States visas. I became curious when she refused to give me the phone.
“She said she had been chatting with her sister on a sensitive topic. Her sister had not been on WhatsApp for almost three months and I was surprised. We argued until I took the phone by force. I had never used her phone before and she initially thought I did not know the password but I had seen her unlocking it on several occasions.
“I unlocked the phone and went to recent WhatsApp conversations. The first word I saw was ‘babe’ and I could not believe it. My heart sank as I went through the conversation. It was like a dream.”
After the discovery, Mhere tried to investigate further. He continued the WhatsApp conversation pretending to be Susan. In disbelief, he wanted to confirm the obvious. Prior messages said it all but Mhere wanted to further confirm his greatest fear — had Mahlupeka actually had sex with his wife?
Unfortunately, the cheater on the other end of the conversation should have mastered his game well. Mahlupeka realised he was no longer chatting with the same person and changed tone, which explains the inconsistency in the chats published by H Metro.
“I tried to continue with the chat but he realised it. He began responding differently and pretending to be innocent. I am the one who sent messages about sexual encounters and car scenes. I was beginning to tie some strings together and he became evasive.”
Indeed, Mahlupeka’s responses changed colour and he became ‘the innocent brother being pestered for sex by a wayward wife of a close friend’. He actually signed off the conversation by saying a few blessings in the traditional Christian way. But it was too late.
Mhere took Susan to their pastor and showed him the messages.
“God says nothing is hidden forever. Even things that are done in darkness will be known one day. My pastor could not believe it and he just played his role at that time.”
From the pastor’s house, Mhere took Susan to Mahlupeke’s residence in Glen View. It was around midnight.
“I found him at home with his wife and father-in-law. I could not say much. I was angry and I did not want to cause a scene. I just left Susan at the house and went home.”
Despite being given the freedom to be with her ‘babe’ without Mhere to dodge or think about, Susan refused to be free. She refused to enjoy ‘freely’ what she had probably enjoyed in dark corners and hidden places. She followed Mhere that same night.
“She came home a few hours after I had arrived. I could not tolerate it. It was already in the morning and I drove to Mutare and left her at her aunt’s place.”
While Susan was in Mutare, Mhere was planning the launch of his latest album “Glory to Glory”. Impending family meetings over the couple’s issue were suspended as the musician gave time to his career.
The album was launched on February 13. However, a day before the launch, information about their problems leaked to the media and Mhere says he had to manage the situation.
“We had agreed that we would have family meetings after the launch but the issue leaked to the media. I believe someone among the friends and relatives I had shown Susan and Gift’s chats after the incident leaked them.
“I was in a compromised position. I could imagine going for the launch when the whole world was talking about our domestic problem. It was going to be damaging and I was in a corner.”
Since Susan was set to return for the family meetings, it was agreed that she comes to attend the launch to try and portray that all was well and too keep the media’s attention at the launch rather than the burning issue.
At the launch, Mhere only recognised the presence of his parents and a presenter introduced Susan as the musician’s wife later. Susan was on the same table with Mhere’s parents.
It was also at the launch that Mhere once again came face to face with Mahlupeka.
“I had heard that he would be coming for the launch and I had told my brothers not to let him in. However, when he came, they could not physically restrain him. He seemed determined to be there for whatever reason and he got in. As a gospel function, we did not want to cause unnecessary commotion.”
So, the three were all at the launch and Mhere managed to suppress his emotions and the event went well.
After the launch, a family meeting was held at Mhere’s house on February 14 but there was no immediate solution.
On February 15, Mhere’s brother died and everything was suspended. Susan attended the funeral and that was also the time she told H-Metro that she wanted a second chance. According to Mhere, she has been admitting her faults and apologising at the meetings held so far.
The meetings are still underway and Mhere says there is no final position so far.
“As you know, this is a serious issue. I cannot give you the final position before we exhaust the meetings with church elders and family members. Whether we separate or we stay together, the normal channels have to be followed. We are legally married and either way, we have to exhaust the stages. At the moment I am leaving everything to God.”
The musician said the disturbances will not affect the programmes he has set for his career. The domestic issue has ironically increased demand for his music, especially the new album. However, Mhere says the songs which seem to have a link with his situation were composed well before the storm.
“It was just a coincidence. Everything happened when all songs had been written and recorded. Nothing was changed in the album’s production process.” The Herald

While Susan was in Mutare, Mhere was planning the launch of his latest album “Glory to Glory”. Impending family meetings over the couple’s issue were suspended as the musician gave time to his career.
The album was launched on February 13. However, a day before the launch, information about their problems leaked to the media and Mhere says he had to manage the situation.
“We had agreed that we would have family meetings after the launch but the issue leaked to the media. I believe someone among the friends and relatives I had shown Susan and Gift’s chats after the incident leaked them.
“I was in a compromised position. I could imagine going for the launch when the whole world was talking about our domestic problem. It was going to be damaging and I was in a corner.”
Since Susan was set to return for the family meetings, it was agreed that she comes to attend the launch to try and portray that all was well and too keep the media’s attention at the launch rather than the burning issue.
At the launch, Mhere only recognised the presence of his parents and a presenter introduced Susan as the musician’s wife later. Susan was on the same table with Mhere’s parents.
It was also at the launch that Mhere once again came face to face with Mahlupeka.
“I had heard that he would be coming for the launch and I had told my brothers not to let him in. However, when he came, they could not physically restrain him. He seemed determined to be there for whatever reason and he got in. As a gospel function, we did not want to cause unnecessary commotion.”
So, the three were all at the launch and Mhere managed to suppress his emotions and the event went well.
After the launch, a family meeting was held at Mhere’s house on February 14 but there was no immediate solution.
On February 15, Mhere’s brother died and everything was suspended. Susan attended the funeral and that was also the time she told H-Metro that she wanted a second chance. According to Mhere, she has been admitting her faults and apologising at the meetings held so far.
The meetings are still underway and Mhere says there is no final position so far.
“As you know, this is a serious issue. I cannot give you the final position before we exhaust the meetings with church elders and family members. Whether we separate or we stay together, the normal channels have to be followed. We are legally married and either way, we have to exhaust the stages. At the moment I am leaving everything to God.”
The musician said the disturbances will not affect the programmes he has set for his career. The domestic issue has ironically increased demand for his music, especially the new album. However, Mhere says the songs which seem to have a link with his situation were composed well before the storm.

IT was a typical Friday the 13th or St Valentine’s Day Massacre at Spithead Farm just outside Harare yesterday when a 29-year-old guard fatally shot his girlfriend and her younger sister before turning the gun on himself.
Tawanda Galasi committed the crime in a fit of rage after his girlfriend Jean Mahebe (23), who had visited him in the company of her sister Jill (21), had allegedly received a call from an unnamed boyfriend.
The sisters had visited Galasi, ostensibly for an early St Valentine’s Day celebration.
After gunning down the sisters, Galasi turned the weapon on himself in a bush about 500 metres from the crime scene.
The farm manager Mr Michael Nyamanhindi, who rushed to enquire about the gunshots, narrowly escaped by hiding behind the wall of a wooden cabin when Galasi fired at him.
Galasi spared his victims’ three-year-old cousin who had accompanied them.
Jean, Jill and Galasi had earlier been seen in a celebratory mood at a nearby tuckshop where they bought drinks and bread.
Spithead, a 50-hectare farm, is owned by Mrs Ruth Ncube, an executive with a local insurance firm.
She was out of the capital when the incident happened.
According to workmates, Jean — who turned 23 on Thursday —and Galasi had a two-year relationship.
Mr Nyamanhindi said Galasi requested to be excused from work so that he could entertain Jean.
When the manager heard gunshots from Galasi’s wooden cabin, he went to investigate.
“Upon arrival, I asked what had happened, but Galasi who was on the door, threatened me saying: ‘Mike ibva pano handina chitema newe rega ndipedzerane nevanhu vangu’. He said all this while he was loading another round before I ran away. That was when I heard another gunshot sound which I presume he was firing at the younger sister,” said Mr Nyamanhindi.
“I last heard Galasi saying: ‘Jean, I told you that I will kill you when you cheat on me’”.
Mr Nyamanhindi said he called Mrs Ncube and left the farm to seek help from neighbours.Herald
He then heard another gunshot which he presumed was Galasi opening fire on himself.
Mr Nyamanhindi said the firearm was licensed and Galasi had been trained at Morris Depot on the use of a firearm.
Zvimba East ward 35 councillor, Mr Michael Gomo said he rushed to the farm after Mrs Ncube called him to investigate the report.
“When I arrived, the younger sister was still alive but struggling to talk,” said Mr Gomo. “I rushed to the police and organised that an ambulance be called. We then went to the residence of these girls in Granary high-density suburb near Whitecliff where we brought their mother.”
When The Herald arrived at the scene police officers had cordoned off the area and bodies of the two sisters were still in the cabin, while Galasi’s body was still in the nearby bush.
Relatives of the two girls, including their mother, wept uncontrollably as they grappled to come to terms with the tragedy.
Officer commanding Harare South administration Superintendent Kani Moyo was leading the police in gathering information, while waiting for the police homicide team.
“There is a guard who shot two girls. We are still to establish the motive behind as we are still waiting for experts like the forensic unit to arrive,” said Supt Moyo.
The girls’ father, Mr Joseph Mahebe who works at the Government Pension Office, said his bosses informed him about the incident towards lunch hour.
“They just told me that one of my child had fallen and they gave me a vehicle to go home,” he said. “What surprised me was that people were mourning. That was when I got a briefing of what transpired.”
Mr Mahebe said there were a lot of unanswered questions, one of which was that he did not understand why Jill ended up at the farm when she was supposed to be at work in town.
“I am quite devastated,” he said. “These were my two eldest children out of four. I have not even understood what really transpired. Only yesterday I was telling Jean that I would have wanted to buy her a birthday present, but I had no money.”

Embattled Sharon Macheso, daughter of Sungura Maestro, Alick Macheso has blamed the demise of her two month marriage on drugs, specifically mbanje and broncklin (popularly known as bronco). She claims that whenever her now estranged husband takes the drus, he loses it becoming violent towards her.
Sharon who revealed that she is now pregnant with Munetsi’s child said she had been subjected to torture and that she feared for her health and that of the baby in her application for a protection order against Munetsi at the Chitungwiza Civil Court yesterday. Through her father’s lawyers Arshiel Mugiya of Mugiya and Macharaga Law Chambers, Sharon cited violence and drug abuse as the major reasons she needed protection from Munetsi. “Barely a month into the marriage the conduct of the respondent has been hostile towards me,” said Sharon in her application. “He has on several occasions perpetrated acts of physical violence as well as verbal assault on my person. “The underlying cause of respondent’s behaviour is that he abuses alcohol and drugs. He has a penchant for drinking broncklin, he also smokes cannabis and abuses amtriplin pills,” she said. “After taking these drugs he becomes violent, uncooperative and acts in an unbecoming manner.”

In her founding affidavit, Sharon said Munetsi abused drugs and she feared for her life.
“The last straw happened on the 12th of October 2014 after he had spent most of the day drinking alcohol. I confronted him about this behaviour to which he then unleashed verbal abuse on me.”

Sharon said Munetsi clearly indicated that he was on a mission to tarnish the Macheso family’s image.
He reportedly demanded money from her claiming that more cash was being spent on renovating the house that was donated by the musician to the couple as a wedding gift.
“He then went on to physically assault me using open palms, fists and booted foot whilst I lay helplessly on the floor,” she said. “The most despicable thing is that he directed his assault on my abdomen when he fully knows that I am pregnant.”
Sharon said Munetsi had suicidal tendencies.
“He is always telephoning me demanding that I should return to him or else he would commit suicide,” she said. “I found the threats to be real as he has, on several occasions in my presence, attempted to commit suicide either by hanging himself or by stabbing himself with a kitchen knife.”

HARARE – A MEMBER of the Central Intelligence Organisation was yesterday rescued by a senior cop after he was trapped in a hotel room with a married woman.
It was a rendition of the late musician Marko Sibanda’s Jambanja Pahotera as there was confusion that only calmed after the arrival of anti-riot police as the woman’s husband demanded that the love birds open the door to their love nest. Gray Mashava had arranged with his lover Maud Mashinya Maningi, 32, who is married to Ezra Maningi to meet him at Harare International Airport at 6pm on Sunday enroute to their love nest at the Meikles Hotel.
Gray was however being trailed by Ezra’s informants who drove behind him and Maud who was driving a Nissan Extrail – registration number ACY 3976. H-Metro has been informed that Gray was coming from South Korea while Maud had lied to her mother and Ezra that she was visiting Masvingo.
Sources close to the family revealed that Maud was tracked from home through to the airport until she was caught holed up in the hotel room when she was supposed to be in Masvingo, as she had told the family. Maud was booked in Room 514 in her name according to hotel records and she drove Gray from the airport to a restaurant in Eastlea.
When H-Metro arrived at the hotel, Ezra was shouting on top of his voice demanding Maud to open the door and hotel security were making efforts to calm him down after guests made a report. “Ndava kutofonera amai vako izvezvi vauye ukasavhura door kuti titaurirane,” Ezra was heard saying.
“Inga ndakabvisa roora wani tikachata wandifungira mweya wakadaro sei kuita chihure chakadaro haunyare vana here Maud,” he fumed as he made a call to Maud’s mother who is based in Norton. H-Metro recorded the conversations and the fracas that lasted for nearly four hours before riot police arrived at the hotel accompanied by one Assistant Commissioner Operations Moyo who rescued Gray.
Ezra is said to have warned Gray on several occasions and the latter ignored, bragging of his position and connections. “Ezra warned Gray on several occasions for sending love messages to Maud and he bragged of his position as a CIO operative. Ezra discovered a message where they agreed to meet on Sunday leading to the trap,” said the source.
Hotel security failed to control the situation leading them to call police who arrived in riot gear. H-Metro witnessed talks between Ass-Comm Moyo and Ezra that led to the release of Gray. Gray left the hotel around 3am on Monday morning, covering his face with a jacket.
He was also escorted by uniformed police officers as riot police followed closely and he sped off in a Ford Ranger (registration ADF 1706).
“What I want is to talk to my wife and nothing else, vandirambidza kupinda muroom maanga ari and they refused to put me on handcuffs so as to make sure I don’t turn violent,” said Ezra.
“I love my wife; we have three children aged seven, five and two. With me here is our Seventh Day pastor and my cousins who came to witness the incident.
“I informed her mother and she told me that Maud also lied to her that she was visiting Masvingo only to find her here with a married man.
“Kutambira murume wemunhu asati atomboudza mudzimai wake kuti akafamba sei? I am now worried of my life since this man is well connected and he showed it by calling a senior police officer to rescue him here,” said Ezra.
Gray refused to entertain H-Metro. “Ndiani, handizirini Mashava,” said Gray hanging the phone. Contacted for comment, Maud promised to furnish H-Metro with details after entertaining other calls. “I will call when I am done with my calls, sorry,” said Maud before hanging her phone.
Maud is a second year student at Morgan Zintech Teachers College. Meikles Hotel general manager identified only as Mujoma referred H-Metro to their spokesperson saying he was not in a position to comment.
“It is better to call our PR department sometime later since the report is still to reach them about what exactly transpired,” said Mujoma.

In November last year over 80 000 followers of Pokello on Instagram were treated to free drama after the Harare socialite and businesswoman traded barbs with her fiancé on the social networking site.
The background to the fight was Elikem admitting on his twitter account that he had an affair with footballer Nii Odartey Lamptey’s ex-wife, Gloria.
“I had an affair with Gloria Lamptey for 4 years before Big Brother. i tried to start a new life with Pokello but it seems my past won’t allow,”

The snap was posted on the Facebook page of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and it has since been shared almost 30,000 times.I shot the photo on a property owned by Brady’s parents. They have over 150 acres along the Siletz River [in Oregon]. The whole family is very into elk hunting and even hosts Make-A-Wish elk hunts on occasion.Stevie and Brady came up with the idea and surprised me with it during engagement photos. We worked together to figure out how the image should look and set it up quickly before sunset.It was rather tough to get the shot though, since Brady could only be upside down for a few minutes. Brady tied his own knots and got himself hooked up to the tractor and then his dad lifted him up slowly.

HARARE – “Break Up”, yes, there is no better word to describe the announcement by songbird Ammara Brown that she and her musician boyfriend Roki real name Rockford Josphats are “just friends now.”
The announcement is a demotion of their relationship from that of lovers whose wedding bells were expected to ring anytime to that of mere friends with common musical interests and nothing more.
Ammara posted on her Facebook wall revealing the two socialites and celebrities were now friends after she featured on Roki’s sizzling video titled Number 1.
“More than happy to announce my friend Roki’s new video is finally out! *Yes just friends now,” read her Facebook post.
Alluding to her post that suggested they were now friends, Ammara confirmed in an interview with Sunday Leisure that their romance with Roki was over. She said they were now just friends.
“While I posted Roki’s new video on my fan-page, I also announced that he and I are now just friends. I support him in his career, as he does the same for me,” said Ammara.
She, however, could not be drawn into giving reasons for their break up, leaving people to speculate and maybe confirming love author, Anais Nin’s observation that, “love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of withering, of tarnishing.”
Whatever reason there is, it is no longer very important. The fact is that they have broken up and Roki could not be reached for comment by the time of going to Press.
At one time their relationship was on a high and reports were that Roki who was head over heels with the beautiful songbird was planning a white wedding that was going to make Ammara, Mrs Josphats.
However, it was later alleged that Ammara turned down Roki’s marriage proposal pouring ice on the arranged wedding plan.
Ammara said she was happy with them being friends, adding that she was happy with her son who she said was her source of inspiration.
“My son is my sun!! A beautiful 3-year-old who works hand in hand with my insane passion for music,” said Ammara.
Her former boyfriend Roki famed for being a serious womaniser is alleged to be a father of six with five different women and had their wedding plans materialised Ammara was going to be the sixth.
Meanwhile, Ammara who is daughter of the late musician Andy Brown recently excelled at the Coca Cola Top 50 charts.
Her hit song Kure Kure with Jah Prayzah earned her a spot in the charts as she became one of the two female artistes to make it into the Top 10, a feat that could not be achieved by a female artiste last year.
“Coca Cola was also elated that I am one of only two females to make it into the Top 10, because last year, there were none! I thank the Ammartians, who voted so vigorously,” she said.
Heart broken or not, the songstress said she was working hard in her quest to fulfill her musical dream and plans were underway to release four music videos this year.
“I have a brand new Afro Pop single called Havarare. It’s been so well received before it’s even gone on radio. The song like my music with Fuzzy L is soon to be released as well as a video. I’ll be shooting four videos before mid-year. I can also safely say this year the Ammartians can expect my long awaited album,” she said.
In trying to maintain her father’s legacy and contribution to the country’s music industry she has opened up a website for him and plans are on the cards to have an Andy Brown Forever Concert.
“I have a website dedicated to my dad called www.andybrownforever.com. It is also a heads up for the concert I wish to deliver this year in his honour called the Andy Brown Forever Concert. Many artistes ranging from Tuku to Jah Prayzah will all be delivering Andy classics. If I had my way it would be nationwide,” she said. Sunday News
