A man has been imprisoned for drink driving after he was found over the limit while driving a motorised wheelchair.Ronny Scott Hicks was caught by cops after motorists had made complaints of a man on a mobility vehicle blocking traffic in Palm Bay Florida.
The 54-year-old ma was said to have been slurring his words when police arrived & they also smelt alcohol on him. Officers took Hicks into police custody after her refused to take the breathalyser test.
He refused treatment for a wound on his body and was placed in cells at Brevard County Jail.
Hicks has two previous drink driving convictions - although non of them involved a wheelchair, His bail has been set $5,000 (£3,227).
This isn’t the first unusual drink driving incident - last month a cowboy in Louisiana managed to avoid charges after he was discovered drunk on his horse.
He said that it was “safer” to let the animal take him home after having a little too much to drink.
