Zimbabwe War Vets Joins Fight Against Police Brutality

ZIMBABWEAN War Veterans Minister Tshinga Dube has blasted recent police brutality, a report said today.
According to NewsDay, Dube said that the mauling by dogs and teargasing of demonstrators, some of them children, during the recent widespread demonstrations in the country had been "uncalled for".
Dube further called on the authorities responsible for the police to look into how they treat children during demonstrations.

"It's very, very unfortunate. So what we can only do is to speak to their higher authorities. They [authorities] must look upon these issues very seriously. Kids are kids and you will find that anywhere in the world they are taken by storm, and if that happens, they want to be seen participating," Dube was cited as saying.
A previous report said at least 43 kids had been hospitalised after inhaling teargas let off by riot police inside their block of flats in Bulawayo.
A recent report said that a one-year-old baby died after she allegedly inhaled teargas.
The baby was sleeping when cops arrived and fired teargas canisters.
The father, David Mutasa, said he noticed his daughter had difficulty breathing and tried to get the police to help, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.
This comes just less than a month after the country was brought to a standstill by protesters who have been calling for President Robert Mugabe's head over the country's worsening economy.

In Kenya, we have quack pastors who dupe their flock using potassium permanganate and others who can check if you name is in the book of life. If you thought that’s the lowest some men of God have stooped, you are dead wrong!

Another pastor has been accused of forcing his female congregation to perform very nasty oral activities on him. In return, the women would receive holy milk through their mouth. The pastor has been telling the women that his ‘milk’ is sacred and he has been anointed by the lord. He also said that his milk is special because it has been concentrated by the holy spirit.

It seems that most Pastors are now living a very scandalous life. In Zimbabwe, a Pastor died shortly after sleeping with a prostitute, while another Pastor poured acid on a woman he was having an affair with and she died. Another Pastor was filmed sleeping with one of his married congregants

The most shocking however, is a Pastor who tried to walk on water like Jesus did, and he drowned in front of his congregants, and another Pastor who asked to be buried alive so that he could ressurect himself like Jesus. Another self confessed Prophet died after fasting in the mountains for 30 days. He was found dead there.

Africom Customer Support insults robbed Client

I was having problems with Africom after they had stole my money with their malfunctioning Java scripts, I contacted their help chat on their website and on seeing i was Dr Clarence the Public Defender and Citizen Jounalist they didnt respond,

Then i contacted them with another name and they responded, Upon then Discovering that i am Dr Clarence, the lazy helpline personnel ignored me for an hour now, which is a crime and consumer rights breech.

Africom agent mocked me by saying "Do you want free Data sir?" and i will see that justice is served, i have all the time in the world.

POISON KILLS 5 KIDS

A COMMUNITY is in shock after at least five boys ate rat poison – and two of them died!

The tragedy happened at extension 9 in Khuma near Klerksdorp, North West, on Thursday afternoon.

The boys who died were Lebogang Letshaba (5) and Lesedi Letlotlo (6), who attended the same creche.

It’s thought the boys found a container of milk powder mixed with halephirimi (rat poison) under bits of wood at a neighbour’s house.

Lebogang’s grieving gogo Manyewe Letshaba (44) wept as she told Daily Sun he suffered from epilepsy.

She said she found her grandson ill when she returned home at about 2pm after visiting her neighbour.

“He was lying with his mkhulu. It looked as if he was having an epileptic fit,” she said.

When he foamed at the mouth they called an ambulance. But it took too long so she put Lebogang on her back and rushed to the clinic.

“On my way I met a neighbour who is a nurse, and asked her to check my grandson.

“She told me to go back because Lebogang was no more. She told me she had heard that some kids had eaten poison.”

Jobless dad Teboho Letshaba (28) said Lebogang may have been saved had paramedics been quicker.

Lesedi’s sick, unemployed grandmother Maitumeleng Nthepang (41) said she was collecting bottles and tins to sell for recycling when she heard Lesedi had been taken to a clinic after eating halephirimi.

“The nurses told me he had passed away. It is so sad. Lesedi’s parents left him when he was a baby, and I was left to raise him.”

Three other boys treated at the Klerksdorp Tshepong Hospital were released on Friday.

The dead boys’ families survive on temporary jobs and child grants.

They appealed to SunReaders to help them bury their loved ones.

Mbombela - A 40-year-old Mpumalanga woman says she'll never ever be able to have sex because her husband put super glue on her genitals, scarring her for life.

The woman, who cannot be named to protect her dignity, lives in Ngwamtila village near Bushbuckridge.

Her husband, whose name is known to African Eye News Service, allegedly put the super glue on her vagina on 9 March 2013, after accusing her of cheating on him with her uncle.

"My husband was an abusive man for many years. His abuse spiralled out of control when my uncle dropped me off at our home. He then accused me of cheating on him with my uncle. It was shocking because he knew my uncle well and even greeted him nicely when he dropped me off," says the woman.

She said after screaming at her he told her that he would teach her a lesson.

"Every time the month of March comes along I remember the cruelty that he showed me. He took out a panga and ordered me to take off my clothes. As I started doing that he told me that if I didn't do it he would chop off my head with the panga. He had previously tried to chop off my hand with the panga but I managed to escape. This time I could not escape.

"He then ordered me to lie down and open my legs. He then took out super glue and applied it on my vagina while I looked at him with horror and tears streaming down my face. I do not know what would make a man who loves a woman do that to her," she said.

Asked if her husband was ever arrested for his cruel actions she said: "I wanted to press charges but he fled and has not been seen since the incident. I am scared that he might come back anytime and remove my head."

The woman feels pain every time she urinates.

SOUTH AFRICA!!!!! What is going on with you? The respect for the elderly is really gone down the drain. If the Gogo’s are not being raped, they have to sing for their pension and now you beat, whip and hammer an old lady for stealing meat. upon investigation, the gogo’s name is Ester and was accused for stealing underwear from CB clothing in Jean Furse in the limpopo province. Call the police man.. Yoh, this was sickening to watch. More sickening listening to he peanut gallery watching and laughing and actually videoing this.. eish… I am proudly South African, but eish things like this makes me want to scream..

Have mercy on me!” go unnoticed as security guards continue beating her. In the video that runs for eight minutes, a woman is seen laughing and encouraging the three guards from an as-yet-unidentified security company to beat the victim.

Johannesburg – The owners of a Limpopo store where a woman was beaten have promised an investigation and assistance to the victim, a report has said.

Matthew Makofane, Maria Mahlaela, Gladys Maphanga, Refilwe Mzimba and Thabang Makuwa – all employees at the clothing shop in Jane Furse – allegedly beat Esther Mankge, 49, in a back room of the store in October, after accusing her of stealing a packet of underwear.

The attack was caught on camera and went viral after the Daily Sun newspaper uploaded the video to their YouTube account.

A case was opened on April 8. All five were arrested last week.

Makofane and Mahlaela were granted bail of R500 each by the Nebo Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

Maphanga, Mzimba and Makuwa would remain in custody because of previous assault allegations.

The group was expected to appear in the Nebo Magistrate’s Court on April 22 on charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

According to EWN, David Alexander of CB Stores claimed they tried to track down the woman in the video.

He said now that she has been identified, they were ready to help.

“We feel for Esther in this time. We will be approaching her to discuss and investigate all her claims and we will support and help her as much as we possibly can,” Alexander was quoted as saying.

The African National Congress Women’s League PEC in Limpopo are expected to hold a media briefing on the assault in Polokwane on Thursday.

“The victim in the matter will also be joining their media briefing, as she has expressed a will to speak out on her traumatic experience,” an ANCWL statement said. – IOL

All citizens have the right to human dignity as well as access to justice and the protection of the law, Zuma said on Wednesday.

Zuma was reacting to the assault of 49-year-old Ester Mankge in Limpopo which was reported on Tuesday. They filmed the assault.

“Regardless of alleged crime, all citizens have an inalienable right to human dignity as well as access to justice and the protection of the law,” Zuma said.

“Following a tip-off we found a video of a woman being beaten with a rubber hammer. We located the victim and opened a case against the five employees.” The two men in the group allegedly beat the woman with various objects while filming it.

The Daily Sun newspaper uploaded the video to their YouTube account on Monday.

“The incident happened in October last year but the woman never opened a case until someone notified the police of the video,” Mulaudzi said.
