Ngorima A man from Zimbabwe's capital Harare is said to 've beat a man he suspected of collecting human waste from where he had alleviated himself. Marange invoked not guilty to assaulting Tinashe Ngorima when he appeared in front of Mbare magistrate Shelly Zvenyika, who remanded him out of custody to the following day.

In renouncing the charge, Marange told the judicature that on Friday last calendar week, he had relieved himself on the railway line near Plymouth Road in Southerton when Ngorima came to him, inclining to collect his defacations.

Marange then became protective and forced Ngorima away, cueing Ngorima to battle back using clinched fists.Marange said he was, in fact, the one who was beaten by Ngorima at the time when he was attempting to cube him from fetching his body waste.

The Authorities asserted that Marange acused defendant Ngorima of using black magic on him and enchanting evil spirits on him ahead of going on to bash him. It is further declared that Marange then assaulted Ngorima with clenched fists and open hands.

Ngorima got small body injuries from the bashing and didn't look for any medical checkup . Ruth Madoda appeared for the State.

Meanwhile, Harare magistrate Vongai Muchuchuti yesterday removed Herald Assistant News Editor Takunda Maodza from remand after State witnesses, for the second time in a month, failed to come to testify in his exaction case.

Maodza was facing extortion charges after allegedly demanding money from man of affairs Isaac Levy in order to stop authorship of a story linking Levy to financially backing former Vice-President Joice Mujuru’s People First political outfit.
