Where were the police when Zimbabweans were being brutalized, In May 2008 a tide of xenophobic violence erupted in Johannesburg and quickly spread through most parts of the country, killing more than 60 Zimbabweans and displacing about 100,000 others.

In December 13 in Limpopo a Zimbabwean was "deliberately"  knocked down by a car and later died in hospital. No arrests were made, yet in SA there are traffic cameras everywhere, According to the Tshikota Zimbabwe Committee's secretary, Pasipanodya Mate, the accident occurred as a group of Zimbabweans were walking along a street, heading to a local hostel for a meeting.
A South African motorist and Tshikota resident driving a VW Polo suddenly drove through the congested crowd who quickly scattered away.

However, Belief Mupo could not get out of the way and was hit by the car. Mupo later died in Polokwane Hospital.
"We saw it with our own eyes that the driver intended to kill the lot of us by running us over," says Mate. "I informed the police, who were monitoring the situation, but one official answered that 'You Zimbabweans are becoming too many here'."

Gauteng’s community safety MEC said on Thursday that the violence and looting against foreign shop owners in Soweto was not xenophobic.
“The actions are pure criminality … For now we won’t declare it xenophobic attacks,” Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane told reporters in Johannesburg.
Nkosi-Malobane said the attacks were sporadic and being carried out by a group of young people who moved from area to area.
“Unfortunately sometimes they’re joined by adults,” she said.
Does the above statement mean if its a xenophobic attack to Zimbabweans the police wont protect Zimbabweans?
