Gumbura negotiated with these women into sleeping with him and he convinced them. This is not a case of rape but Soliciting and Prostitution since he negotiated with these women, some he paid them with money, some with cash, others with counselling.
Gumbura was convicted based on brainwash and manipulation, not based on him using physical force. Gumbura defended on issues concerning force and screams yet his case was based on him manipulating and taking advantage of the vulnerable and needy women who he was supposed to shepherd. So Gumbura went off topic and he was convicted.
